Alice R. Rich

Alice Redd Rich was born February 22, 1879 in New Harmony, Utah, to Lemuel Hardison and Keziah Jane Butler Redd. She married Abel Sargent Rich in the Salt Lake LDS temple on June 18, 1908. Alice graduated from the University of Utah and was a school teacher. She was an active writer and artist. She was a member of the Utah League of Writers, A Writers' Realm of Brigham City, and the Reading Circle. Alice was chosen to represent the Northern District of Utah Federation of Women's Clubs as Mother of the Year. She was sponsored by the Brigham City Community Club, of which she was a charter member and former president.
