Beatrice K. Ekman

Beatrice Ekman was born February 27, 1875 in Tooele County, Utah. She was the daughter of J. Quincy Knowlton and Ellen Smith. She attended the University of Utah, where she met John A. Ekman. They married in 1896, and made their home in Salt Lake City. Eventually they moved to Portland, Oregon to be closer to their children.

Beatrice was a poet and had many poems, stories, and articles published in LDS church publications.
