C. Cameron Johns

Charles Cameron Johns was born August 8, 1893 in Ramsbottam, England to Alfred and Marian Cameron McIntyre Johns. He married Elizabeth Mander on August 4, 1914 in Lancastershire, England. He was a member of the LDS church.

Mr. Johns was a noted Utah poet, writer, and former president of the League of Utah Writers. He was one of the founders and first president of the Utah Poetry Society. He served four other terms as president and was one of the society's few lifetime honorary members. He also served for 26 years as chairman of the society's youth poetry contest. Mr. Johns taught creative writing at BYU.
