Carol Clark Ottesen

Carol Clark Ottesen received a bachelor’s in music from Brigham Young University and a master’s from California State University at Dominguez Hills. She also did graduate work at Claremont Graduate School. She is a former writing instructor at California State University, Los Angeles Harbor College, and BYU. For two years she and her husband taught English at Shandong Medical University and then at Peking University, People’s Republic of China. She has a book of poetry, Line upon Line (1975), and a nonfiction book about teaching culturally diverse students. Her poems, stories, and essays have appeared in several publications. She has taught in seminary and institute programs of the church. She and her husband have six children and live in Mapleton, Utah. For Christmas 2003 they went to Honduras on a humanitarian project.
