Charis Southwell

Southwell became chronically ill in her teens. She battled bravely, serving as a commencement speaker at her high school graduation and graduating cum laude from Brigham Young University, where her poetry won several awards, including the Hart-Larson Award. \"Reformation\" was also published in BYU Studies. Her husband, William H. Southwell, has published the Collected Poems of Charis Southwell.
