Taught elementary school and high school English, served as a major in in the U.S. Air Force in Viet Nam. His play, Still the Mountain Wind has been performed many times. He died of a heart attack in 1967 at age 38, leaving a number of unpublished novels, poems, and plays, many about Mormon life in southern Idaho.
