Drucilla McFarland was born May 9, 1891 in Wilson, Weber County, a daughter of Gideon and Sarah Ellen Martin Holmes. She married Archibald McFarland on February 4, 1914, in the Salt Lake City LDS temple. Drucilla was Weber County Mother of the Year in 1959. She organized and served eight years as president of the Ogden District Mother of the Year Association. She was a member of Camp X, Daughters of Utah Pioneers, and served on the Weber County Daughters of Utah Pioneers Board. Drucilla was president of the Wilson Farm Bureau Auxiliary, chaplain of the Ogden Women's Civic Club and vice president of the Ogden Historical Society. She was a charter member of the Blue Quill Writers Club and member of the Utah League of Writers.
