Edna Rae Madsen

Edna Rae Madsen was born Feb. 5, 1906 in Richfield, UT to Sarah Gardner and William Slauson Rust. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a BA degree in Art. On December 21, 1928, Edna married Evan A. Madsen in the Mesa, Arizona LDS temple. They lived in Thatcher, Arizona where Evan taught music at Eastern Arizona Junior College. They had four children. Eventually they moved to Sandy, Utah. From 1968-70 Edna and her husband served a mission in Carthage, Illinois as directors of the visitors center at the old Carthage jail.
