Florence B. Dunford

Florence B. Dunford was born in Menan, Idaho. She attended Ricks College and the University of Utah. She also attended other universities, specializing in the summer workshops in writing. In the spring of 1949 she placed second in a contest between the Boise and Caldwell, Idaho, writers. That same year she won first prize in the annual short story contest sponsored by the Idaho Writer's League. Florence also composed poetry.
