Helen Gee Woods

Helen Gee Woods was born August 25, 1897 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She was the oldest of 6 children born to John Gee and Olive Caroline Winn. She was reared in Rexburg, Idaho, and attended Ricks College, where she earned a nursing degree. Helen married James Francis Woods and had two sons.

Helen was a writer and poet. She edited and published eight books, founded Idaho Poets and Writers Guild and three other poetry organizations in Idaho.
