Jasmine Romney Edmunds was born September 7, 1906 to George Samuel and Terressa Artemesia Redd Romney in Colonia Juarez, Mexico. The family moved from Mexico to Rexburg, Idaho, when Jasmine was young. She graduated from Ricks College and went on to graduate from the University of Utah with a degree in English. She taught school in Rexburg before moving to Chicago. There she met John K. Edmunds, and the two were married on January 31, 1934 in the Salt Lake City LDS temple. She and John raised their children in Chicago and eventually moved to Utah.
