Jay Bryant Ward

Image of Jay Bryant Ward
Jay Bryant Ward grew up with a love for drawing and a very supportive family who encouraged his artistic pursuits. At a young age, Jay’s illustration work gained him an Honored Student Award for his entrepreneurial efforts and three national art awards for his paintings and illustrations all before leaving High School. There, He studied under artists/painters Leon Parson, Robert Barrett, Richard Hull, and Don Seegmiller. Ward has also been fortunate to receive instruction from the world-renowned painter, Richard Schmid. “This was a heightening experience for me,” Ward claims, “as my years of study converged, I developed a clearer understanding of the artistic principles underlying great art, …and I discovered there, a way to bring my art to light.” Ward also shares his time and expertise by teaching both digital and traditional art classes at a local college. Early in his teaching experience, he became frustrated with the obstacles which almost universally inhibit artists from learning to realize their artistic vision. He was inspired with an idea to overcome theses obstacles and help artists of all levels and styles. In true, but modern “Davinci” style, Ward invented a way to dissect any image into the principles of art and design, for once clearly illustrating the principles which have so alluded artists and the art education world for generations. Now, with more than a decade of experience, Ward dedicates himself wholeheartedly to his painting career and to helping others find success with their creative voice.
