Katherine Fernelius Larsen

Katherine was born in South Weber, Utah on the 5th of May, 1916 to Bessie Lenore McGiven and Peter Gustavus Lindberg Fernelius. She was a strong, talented, cerebral and artistic woman who developed a life-long passion for poetry, winning many awards and honors in this arena; and was among the earliest members of the Art Barn Poets of Salt Lake City. In 1937, at the age of 21, Katherine married Rex Farrell Larsen. They had six children together.
