Lucy Goodrich Lind

Mrs. Lind was born July 19, 1891, in Naples, a daughter of George Albert and Harriet M. Taggart Goodrich. She attended school in Naples, at the former Uintah Academy in Vernal and also at Brigham Young University, the University of Utah and Utah State University.

For eight years she taught school at Davis, Naples, Ashley, Maeser and Dry Fork. She married Lewis Elmer Lind May 31, 1917 in the Salt Lake Temple. Out of the six children born to them, two died at birth.

Mrs. Lind was well known for her poetry and had a number published in book form, magazines and church publications. She served as a teacher in the auxiliary organizations of the church, on the Sunday School Stake Board and sang in the stake and ward choirs.

Mrs. Lind was a member of Uintah County Daughters of Utah Pioneers and served as treasurer of the Uintah Chapter of the American Association of Retired Persons.
