Luzelle S. Eliason

Luzelle S. Eliason was born February 2, 1912 in Mendon, Utah to Parley and Rachel Sorenson. She graduated from Malad High School and Utah State University. She married Bert Eliason Jr. of North String, Idaho on February 10, 1934. The marriage was solemnized a year later in the Logan, Utah Temple.

Luzelle was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving as a Ward Relief Society President, Primary President and served many years as a teacher. She served her community as local and regional PTA president. She was always an avid reader, and at age 60 began oil painting and became an excellent artist. Luzelle also enjoyed writing and was a correspondent for the Deseret News and had articles published there and in the Relief Society Magazine.
