Marjorie Lyon Hafen was born September 9, 1922 to Paul Cairns Lyon, Sr. and Ruth Partridge Lyon. She grew up in Salt Lake, graduating from East High and the University of Utah. She married Donald Truman Hafen in the Salt Lake Temple on August 18, 1948. Marjorie was a patron of the arts and was a talented musician, composer, author, and teacher. She loved spending time with her best friends and fellow Girl Scouts at Camp Cloud Rim. Marjorie served in many positions in the LDS Church. Her most cherished calling was being a wife and mother. Her six children were the light of her life. She was the owner of Mayfield Manor Nursing Home for many years, but her first priority was her family.
