Mary Clark Martineau was born November 25, 1889 in Benson, Utah to Cyrus Edward and Sarah Jane Dunn Clark. She married Howard Nephi Martineau on September 29, 1910 in the Logan, Utah LDS temple. In 1918 Mary graduated from Brigham Young College in Logan. They moved to Idaho where she taught elementary school for 13 years. She was an author and has several of her works published. She was active in the LDS church and was stake relief society president for 15 years.
