Max Golightly

Max Golightly is a retired professor of speech and drama at Brigham Young University. Golightly has degrees from Brigham Young University and Southern Illinois University. He has published poetry in the Prairie Schooner, Coastline, Kaleidograph, The Search, Wye Magazine, Tulsa Poetry Quarterly, South and West, Discourses on Poetry, Human Voice Quarterly, Utah Singes, Prize poems of the NFSPS, and in many other periodicals and newspapers. He has published articles in BYU Studies, Utah Speech Magazine, and the Utah Music Educator. Golightly has acted in and directed numerous plays. He has acted in several films and is widely respected as a narrator. He has also served as the president of the National Federation of State Poetry Societies, Inc. He is an educator, playwright, director, actor, and poet.
