Terrance S. Drake was born to Charles and Leola Drake in the upper peninsula of the state of Michigan and was the third of seven children. He was raised in southern California and completed three years of his studies in chemistry at UCLA before leaving for Mexico to serve a twenty-seven-month mission for the LDS Church.
After his missionary service, Terrance completed his undergraduate studies in chemistry at Michigan State University and received his medical degree from Wayne State University four years later.
Dr. Drake is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology as well as reproductive endocrinology. He has published more than twenty scientific journal articles related to reproduction and infertility and has two nonfiction books in print: and He married Marvia Lynn Brown in 1968, and they have six children and sixteen grandchildren.
