Zina Card Brown was born June 12, 1888 in Cardston, Alberta, Canada, to Charles Ora and Zina Young Card. She married Hugh B. Brown June 17, 1908 in the Salt Lake City LDS temple. They lived in Salt Lake City, Glandale, California, and Provo. In 1937 Hugh B. Brown was called to be president of the British Mission. Zina and Hugh lived in London until 1939, when World War II began breaking out. They returned to London in 1944 for two more years.
