  • Hannah Smith: Author
Fiction, Short Story
In part two of this short story, Janet continues to feel left out and belittled. One night Frances mocks her ways as a housewife, and it pushes Janet over the edge. She storms out of the room and decides to go for a drive. While standing on a stool trying to reach the keys, the stool breaks and Janet falls. Janet is badly injured and must lie in bed while Frances takes over her duties. After just one morning of cooking and cleaning, Frances is worn out.
