A young girl tells her school teacher about her ambitions to someday become a teacher and earn money so that her mother can stop working so hard. The teacher advises the girl not to wait to help her mother, but to start immediately start helping with the cooking, cleaning, and mending. The girl follows her teacher's advice; her mother is able to rest and the girl learns to stop putting things off for the future.
