A Frame for Happiness

Ora Pate Stewart

Salt Lake City, Utah: General Board of Relief Society, April 1952

  • Ora Pate Stewart: Author
Fiction, Short Story
Alicia is reflecting on the days when she had to play her cello for work. She is well off now, happily married with children, but she misses the hard work she used to do. One afternoon, some women from the Relief Society stop by and ask Alicia to bake clover-leaf rolls for the ward party. Alicia is hesitant at first because she has never made rolls before, but after a few days of practice, she gets it right.
