Libbeth is feeling especially sad and homesick one day when her husband, Arden, brings her an early Christmas present. He has brought home her old organ. When she opens it up to play, she discovers a letter from her mother expressing her love for Libbeth despite her lack of support for Libbeth's conversion to Mormonism. When Libbeth discovers this letter, she writes to her parents telling them of her children. Libbeth's parents surprise her with a visit on Christmas Day to meet their grandchildren.
