One night Jeff Landeau calls Serena in a panic because he needs to dust the trees right away. She offers to help him, and they have a pleasant time together. Serena still suffers from deep sadness, and Luis tells her how he has noticed this. He talks to her about God and church and how those things saved him. Serena decides she must forget her past and move forward with the future.
