One afternoon, Delsa gets mad at Mrs. Reeder for the unkind way she treats Davy. Mrs. Reeder quits, and Delsa is overcome with guilt and worry. When Alec stops by to apologize to Delsa, she realizes that she doesn't love him. Later that night she confronts Jeff, and they both express their love for each other.
