Elder Oaks said that gospel living should not be made up of occasional frenzied outbursts of emotion but by the steady and tranquil dedication of a lifetime. Extremes should be avoided but life should be handled in wisdom and order, serving with all heart, might, mind and strength. He also gave counsel for young men and women to date rather than just hanging out, and advise single women to make a life for themselves and trust in the Lord. Sister Kristen Oaks spoke briefly to the single sisters.
