When Bettie Sutton, an active member of the Church and her community, is diagnosed with cancer for the second time, she knows she doesn't have long to live. Her two dying wishes are to see snow one last time, and to have the relief society president conduct her funeral. Her first wish is granted when, at the end of a mild winter, a foot of snow falls. She passes away soon after, and her bishop and stake president decide they can set aside protocol in order to grant her second wish.
