Maurine was tiding her husband’s things one day when she came across a picture of his first wife, Susan, with the words “Good morning to you, Mrs. Romaie” written on the back in Susan’s handwriting. The greeting confused Maurine, but she put the picture out, wanting Susan to be a part of the family. As Maurine raises her family, she finds great comfort in talking to Susan. One day, she finds a letter inside the picture frame, which Susan had written to the future Mrs. Romaie. Maurine is touched that all this time, the greeting had been to her.
