Joseph Smith and his brother Hyrum were shot to death in Carthage Jail on June 27, 1844. A year later, five prominent citizens of Carthage were charged with conspiracy to commit murder and a trial was held in neighboring Warsaw.
A stage-to-video adaption. Commissioned with support from the Oscarson Discovery Grant. Hancock County opened in the Pardoe Theatre at BYU on February 13, 2002.
