Examines the secretive world of polygamy in Utah, some 30,000 to 50,000 people still involved in the practice of "plural marriages" which is illegal and long since outlawed by the Mormon Church. Several groups are studied: the Latter-Day Church of Christ led by John Ortell Kingston, who was charged with child abuse for forcing his daughter to marry an uncle with 14 other wives ; Owen Allred of Salt Lake County, leader of the Allred group ; The True and Living Church of Jesus Christ of Saints of the Last Days in Manti led by Jim Harmston ; a Christian polygamist group in Circleville led by Steve Butt ; and the largest group, in adjoining border towns of Hilldale, Utah and Colorado City, AZ.
