Mormons--Fiction
Ranger Hank Bannon has a lot to worry about: convincing ranchers to remove their stock from the overgrazed mountain; preparing for the ever-present possibility of a devastating mud and rock slide set in motion by a cloudburst; keeping on the lookout for grass and forest fires; tracking a wily, stock-killing bear; and, hardest of all, maintaining his equilibrium in the presence of Bishop Nephi Alma Young's daughter Kate. Up until now, Alma Hank's life has been easy; effortless, in fact. He has always been the cool, capable winner in everything - school, athletics, dating, jobs. Funny how a mountain and a woman can change everything.
