Man's Search for Happiness (1987)

Director: Peter N. Johnson

  • Peter N. Johnson: Director
  • Scott Whitaker: Writer
plan of salvation; life; death
An English-language remake of the 1964 original, again exploring issues of life, death, and man's purpose on Earth.
This is the second remake of the 1964 classic, after the 1970 Japanese version. Richard L. Evans' original English narration was retained, making this production primarily an updating in terms of production design, although the Studio's technical proficiency had increased as well. The fact that such a remake was deemed necessary testifies to the importance of the film in the eyes of the Church.
