Anne Bancroft narrates this 52-minute documentary, a 3-D Imax view of 19th-century America as seen from the viewpoint of author Mark Twain. Writer/director Stephen Low combined black-and-white photographs of the humorist, historic 19th century stereo photographs, and contemporary color footage of Twain's Hannibal, MO, hometown (including the annual Hannibal frog-jumping contest and parade). The chronological coverage of Twain's life and career is intercut with regional square dancing, reenactments of Civil War battles, and modern-day Mississippi River steamboats. ~ Bhob Stewart, All Movie Guide
