Fiction, Juvenile Fiction, Novel
Mormons--Juvenile fiction; Baptism--Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints--Juvenile fiction
Along with her twin brother, Jake, Jenny is in the second grade. She usually is pretty mellow, but a couple of difficulties at school lead her to dislike Jake's new friend, Elwood. How can he wear such scruffy clothes! And those big ears! No wonder no one likes him - except Jake, of course. Sure enough, friendly Jake invites Elwood to their birthday party; then to the baptism; and the next day, Elwood comes to church - and he's not even a Mormon! This ruins Jenny's day, and the good feeling she had when being confirmed is all gone. Jenny has some pretty dramatic experiences while learning about baptism and what it means in daily life. Girls of her age will enjoy reading this exciting story. --Amazon
