Fiction, Short Story
A young man wonders about the life of the reclusive hispanic polygamist family that lives down the street from him. After returning from a Spanish-speaking mission, he is recruited by the police to translate for them while they investigate two deaths in the household. As he learns the family's story of struggle and heartache, he flashes back to his own painful experience in the mission field and the choices he made that led to him being released and sent home early.
