Cheryl is devastated when her son comes home early from his mission-- in a casket. She and her husband soon find out that he was inappropriately involved with a woman before he died. Cheryl cannot cope with the fact that God took her son in his sin; she believes that now he is damned. She is inconsolable during the funeral and after, refusing to believe there's hope for her son or for anyone in their family.
