Fiction, Short Story
Adam Crane is often chided by his neighbors for working on the Sabbath, but he is convinced that there is no difference between working on Sunday and working on any other day. He sets aside part of his field for crops he decides to only work on the Sabbath. The crops grow well, and before he harvests them he invites his neighbors over to prove that working on Sunday is productive; however, the field catches fire, and he loses all of his “Sunday crop.”
