Utah Storybook: Before Sundance

  • Mark Phillips: Writer, Producer
Today's Sundance resort is famous as much for its celebrity owner as is for theater, film and year-round recreation. However, the community owes much of its character to the salt-of-the-earth Stewart family. Near the turn of the century, two Stewart brothers built a homestead on the property. When ranching and farming proved unprofitable, they began promoting the recreational opportunities the land had to offer, using their own ingenuity to fashion exceptional ski trails, Before Sundance tells the fascinating story of this modern pioneer family and their lasting legacy to all who now enjoy the beauty of spectacular Mt. Timpanogos.
