Personal Essay
A forest ranger received a prompting to go to the sheep herd instead of the sawmills like he had planned. He decided to follow the prompting and change his plans, but put off going so long that he never actually made it to the sheep herd. He then learned that a man there had accidentally shot himself and had needed help. While the man lived, he had been alone without medical attention for a long time, and he was crippled as a result. The ranger vowed to never ignore a prompting again.
